About Shuli

The scribe you can trust.

Built by a team with deep experience in regulated industries — insurance, healthcare, and enterprise systems — Shuli brings the same discretion to meeting notes that you bring to client relationships.

Shuli (書吏) means "scribe" in Chinese — a skilled professional who records what matters with precision and care.

Why we built Shuli

We've spent years working inside the annuity, life insurance, and regulated enterprise software space. We've seen what compliance reviews look like. We've answered security questionnaires. We understand what it means to handle sensitive client information responsibly.

Through those experiences, we kept hearing the same frustration from advisors, agents, and client-facing professionals: existing AI meeting tools were capturing too much, storing it too long, and creating risks that didn't need to exist.

Full transcripts with health conversations, family discussions, and personal details were being dumped into CRMs. Recordings were retained indefinitely. Compliance teams were nervous. And professionals who genuinely wanted to streamline their workflow didn't have a tool they could trust.

So we built Shuli differently. Instead of recording everything and hoping for the best, Shuli extracts only what belongs in professional records — structured summaries, key facts, action items — and discards the rest automatically.

Privacy isn't a feature we added later. It's the foundation we built on.

Built for regulated industries

Shuli was designed by people who understand what it means to operate under compliance scrutiny.

Enterprise systems experience

Our team has built and operated software in insurance, annuities, healthcare, and enterprise ERP environments.

Compliance-first mindset

We've operated under HIPAA and worked toward SOC 2 before. Security and privacy were first-order design constraints for Shuli — not retrofits.

Audit-ready by design

Shuli is built to stand up to compliance reviews, security questionnaires, and the scrutiny that comes with regulated client relationships.

Experience that matters

Our team includes former global CTO leadership from a multinational healthcare and ERP company, as well as a leading annuity and retirement income solutions provider. We've built systems that handle protected health information, regulated financial data, and enterprise-scale operations. That experience shaped every architectural decision behind Shuli.

Many AI meeting tools capture everything and store it indefinitely.

Shuli captures only what belongs in professional systems — and nothing more.

Our principles

Earned through years of working in regulated environments. These aren't aspirations — they're how we operate.

Data minimization

We've seen what happens when systems over-collect. Shuli stores only what belongs in professional records — nothing more.

Outcome-first

Every feature is designed for the outcome: CRM-ready notes, tracked follow-ups, and closed loops. No feature bloat, no unnecessary complexity.

Respect client trust

Your clients share sensitive information in confidence. Shuli is designed to honor that trust by filtering personal details before they ever reach your systems.

Integrations that disappear

The best tools are invisible. Shuli pushes structured data to your CRM automatically — no manual exports, no copy-paste.

Shuli is already being used by design partners in financial services and insurance. We're building alongside the professionals who need this most.

Meeting notes your compliance team will appreciate.

Structured summaries, automatic retention controls, and the discretion that client-facing professionals deserve.
